I cannot believe that it's almost halfway through November, almost halfway through
NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). During NaNoWriMo, the goal is to write
50, 000 words in a 30 day period, from November 1 until the 30th. If you break it down,
that's 1667 words a day. By today I should have written 21, 667 words, I have 15, 070.
So I am a little short. But I'll tell you what -this year is the furthest I have ever gotten in this
challenge(the most I ever did was 4 or 5000 words).
I find that once I just let go and write, without looking back, or letting my inner editor/critic
get in the way I can really go farther. So maybe that's part of the secret.
I'm hoping to get to 50,000 words this words this year. If not, then a lot closer than I have
before.
