Did you ever really think about how strange some of the rituals on "Facebook" really are? Social networking really is an interesting phenomenon. Facebook is like it's own little world, with it's own rituals and language. For example:
1. Poking. What is "poking"? And why do you do it? It just sounds funny. You wouldn't walk up to someone in real life and poke them, but on Facebook it's cool.
2. Ignoring. "Will you be my friend?" Request to be my friend. Yes, no...or I'll just ignore you. How RUDE!
3. Unfriending. A Facebook way of getting rid of someone. Mostly behind their backs. I'M sick of you? I'll just delete you. Don't like the gifts you send me? Well, I'm "cleaning my friends list." Sometimes people are on your list one day and then they just disappear. Kinda creepy. LOL
4. Writing on the Wall. Where else can you write on someone's wall without getting arrested or looking crazy?
