Random Thoughts-"What's Up With All The 3D Movies?"

I've noticed recently that a lot of movies coming out are in 3D.

    "Shrek Forever After."

    "Toy Story 3."

    Etc. Etc.

Some movies in 3D even cost more to go see. Do I want to pay fifteen dollars to watch a movie "pop" off the screen off at me?

    Yeah, 3D is cool.

I heard somewhere that to see the new "Shrek" movie in 3D or IMAX that ticket prices could be as high as 20 dollars! That's 80 dollars for a family of four to go see a movie, not including popcorn, drinks and other snacks.

In the future, you might need a second mortgage on your house just to go out to the movies with the price of tickets.

But does it really make the movie any better to have it in 3D? If the story sucks, it doesn't make a difference if it pops off the screen at me.

I can watch a good story in regular-D and be moved by it and I don't need any gimmick.

3D was cool when they started using it, but now when every single animated and computer generated film is being shown in it, doesn't it get a little old?
